I took this picture because its the first Community Hospital to be built beside and linked to a general hospital in Singapore. St. Andrew's Community Hospital is a community hospital providing sub-acute and intermediate care. St. Andrews Community Hospital is connected by a bridge to Changi General Hospital. So should the patients in St. Andrews Community Hospital need urgent treatment that the hospital cannot carry out, they can be sent to Changi General Hospital without needing to waste time by boarding an ambulance. It saves precious time for the doctor who might need to urgently operate on the patient. I think that St. Andrew's Community Hospital is a perfect example that the Singapore Government wants the best healthcare for its people. I also find that the medical facilities here in Singapore is very updated and modern. Many of Singapore's doctors are well-qualified with many trained overseas.
