The different races in singapore have been allocated public holidays to celebrate their festivals. For example, every year, holidays have been set aside to celebrate chinese new year, Deepavali ,hari raya and so on. These public holidays also creates opportunities for every races to mingle with each other thus creating a greater insight and understanding of the different cultures among the different races.By doing so this fosters peace and harmony among the different races in singapore.
