This picture was taken from my food and nutrition(F&N)textbook on 6 Feb 2009. The picture shows a wide variety of ethnic food which can be found in singapore. Eating is a good way of socialising. When people eat together, they are more likely to relax and enjoy each other's company. In every society, feasts are held to mark special occasions such as festivals, celebrations, and births. Festive occasions celebrated in Singapore, such as Hari Raya, Chinese New Year, Deepavali and Christmas are opportunities for social interaction amongst differebt ethnic groups. Festive occasions also reflect how people's cultures and religious beliefs infliuence thei r choice of foods and food habits.
