This picture of the danger signboard was taken on 20th january after school at one of the blocks in the bedok estate.This signboard shows that singapore practices both policies bilingualism and multi-racialism.Multi-racialism is the policy that ensures that no race is advantaged or disadvantaged thus the words on the signboard is written in all four languages english,chinese,malay and indian so that all races are treated fairly.The policy of bilingualism ensures that no one is excluded.English is the common language used in communications among different races and mother tongue is the secondary language to help singaporeans to understand their roots.
